In the Aeroplane Over the Sea è il brano che dà il titolo al secondo e ultimo album daella rock band indie americana Neutral Milk Hotel. L’album è  stato pubblicato negli Stati Uniti il 10 febbraio 1998.

In the Aeroplane Over the Sea viene da tutti considerato come un album dedicato ad Anna Frank a causa del fatto che molti dei testi apparentemente si riferiscono a lei, come ad esempio i versi che ri riferiscono alle sue date di nascita e di morte, oltre a passi in cui si cita esplicitamente una Anna, come nella titletrack. Anche se il gruppo non ha mai ufficialmente dichiarato che l’album sia effettivamente stato scritto pensando ad Anna Frank, la teoria è ampiamente affermata tra i fan.
